City Seeks Code Enforcement/Evidence Official

CITY OF EPHRATA CODE ENFORCEMENT/EVIDENCE OFFICIAL. The City of Ephrata is accepting applications for a full-time Code Enforcement/Evidence Official. This position will be responsible for enforcing the Municipal Code of the City of Ephrata, the processing and tracking of evidence, nuisance abatement, coordinating efforts with the County Prosecutor and State labs, and related administration of applicable statutes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrate a legal right to work in the United States.
Valid Washington State Driver’s License.
Ability to pass background check, pre-employment and on-going drug screenings.
Ability to pass Civil Service examination.
Ability to pass pre-employment psychology and polygraph exams.
Minimum 21 years of age.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND:
Extensive experience and demonstrated ability to work with staff and public.
Extensive experience and demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues successfully.
Two year background in local government/law-enforcement or a related field.
Extensive experience and demonstrated ability to communicate well.
SALARY: $35-40,000 + full benefits
