Punchlist Water & Street Project Phase 3
Oct 22, 2010
EPHRATA, WA. The third of four phases of the Ephrata Waterline & Street Replacement Project is nearly complete.
This four-year, $10,000,000 project will replace every aged waterline in Ephrata with modern pipes and repave the affected streets. With the work on Phase-III, the Southwest neighborhoods, now substantially complete, the City is requesting that homeowners examine work on, or near, their property for deficiencies and report it to the City of Ephrata.
The City and Advanced Excavation’s goal is finish this project in a manner that will make our community proud. As such, it is important that we identify any incomplete work as the final step in the construction process.
Such incomplete work could include broken sprinklers; significant loss of water pressure, landscaping or any other non-grass related plants not replaced, meters and manholes not completely level with surrounding pads, or any other such item.
A list will be created for the contractor when they return to complete final labor. City officials will also be conducting our own inspections for the creation of what is called a “punch list” or record of necessary concluding work.
Of course, a claim for damages to any personal property should have been filed at the time of the occurrence, for any harm caused as a consequence of construction. However, claim forms are always available at City Hall.
Construction will hopefully recommence in the spring of 2012, with Phase-IV in the Northwest section of Ephrata. Please watch the news for information regarding State funding for Phase-IV.
Please contact Ephrata City Hall at 754-4601, extension 135, or email bcox@ephrata.org to report potential items for our punch list. We appreciate your help.
