REQUEST FOR WATER CONSERVATION

The City is asking people to please lower all water usage over the next several days as temperatures remain high; Well #9 is still inoperable, causing lower than normal reservoir levels. The City of Ephrata and Ephrata School District have suspended watering of parks and school grounds as a result of the low reservoir levels in an attempt to conserve water for residential use.

The recent high temperatures have placed an increased demand for water again. In addition to the efforts of the City and School District, residents are encouraged to take reasonable steps to conserve water during this time – particularly considering the forecast for the upcoming weekend.

Well #9 parts were delivered this week. The City anticipates the well will be back in operation late next week after repair and state required line-flushing is completed.
