WASPC Accreditation Program

The Ephrata Police Department is proud to be a part of the WASPC Accreditation program. The Ephrata Police Department was first accredited in November 2014. The accreditation program runs on a four year cycle in which the re-accrediting agency must live and breathe all 137 standards required under the program. The Ephrata Police Department achieved re-accreditation in May 2018. 

Within the Accreditation program, the Ephrata Police Department strives to follow industry best practices in accountability and transparency in the following areas:

Each of the 137 standards verified by WASPC Assessors to ensure compliance. These standard files include written documents which are examined and the final assessment process notates observations and interviews with the agency employees by the assessors.
